About Amber

Since 2007, Amber Hom has sold over 1,000 properties throughout Northern California. Consistently ranking in the top 10% of her field, she has found great fulfillment in a career that is perfectly suited to her love of helping people. The daughter of a single mother of four who was also a real estate agent, Amber learned early on that homeownership could help people pave a path to success. She delights in assisting clients of all ages, life situations, and backgrounds in making real estate moves that help them build wealth and boost their quality of life. Residing in Contra Costa County since 1993, Amber earned her real estate license in her early 20s and started her career at the Contra Costa County Association of Realtors®. She developed a well-rounded skill set in various aspects of the business and quickly found success — first at the association and later as an account manager at a title and escrow company. In 2007, she decided to create her own real estate practice, and she hasn’t looked back since. Amber’s certification as a Certified Distressed Property Expert® (CDPE) and her extensive work with foreclosures enable her to provide expert guidance to clients in even the most difficult circumstances. Her serene, focused approach to her work has also been shaped by her many years of practicing and teaching meditation, and she often jokes that she is actually a spiritual teacher disguised as a real estate agent. In her spare time, Amber enjoys spending time with her husband, two sons, and dog, Jojo. She loves to cook with her husband, who’s a chef; hike the Lime Ridge Trail in Concord; and watch baseball. She also gives back to her community by volunteering at her local food bank and serving on the board of Humanity Power, a social justice organization.

Amber Hom 💯

I knew I wanted to sell my house, but didn’t even know if it was possible with the market at that time. When I contacted Amber, it was just to explore the option and ask a few questions. Amber’s advice from this initial conversation was spot on! Her market knowledge, excellent communication skills and attention to detail was top notch. She had my house sold in record time and the entire process was as smooth as could be and, in fact, far exceeded my expectations. All of this would be enough to rate Amber as an excellent agent, but there’s more! In addition to Amber’s experience and professionalism as an agent, she is just so kind and someone that you feel really has your best interest at heart. Amber is hands down the best realtor that we have had the pleasure of working with!

In the past four years my husband and I have bought and sold homes in California, Delaware, Michigan and North Carolina. Amber is hands down the best realtor that we have had the pleasure of working with. We first worked with Amber in 2014 when we purchased our first home in Concord and again in 2021 when we sold it. Not only did she make the nerve racking experience of being a first time home buyer easier, but she also took us step-by-step through the process of preparing our house for sale. She provided contractors who did quality work at reasonable prices so that we could sell our home for top dollar. Amber took calls around the clock, eased our minds and really went above and beyond to make our experiences pleasant. When the buyer of our home found a few peas in the freezer that our cleaner had missed, Amber went to the house and cleaned them out. Things that other people might complain about, Amber chuckled at. At one point after our house in California had closed we were staying in an airbnb about an hour away and participating in a remote signing for our new house in Delaware. When the closing documents were accidentally mailed to our former address, Amber went there (with a moment's notice) and waited for them to be delivered, providing us with her office space to sign them in and a notary as well. Truly, Amber thinks of everything! She cares about her clients, sees them through their transaction with her and beyond. Her incredible attitude, positivity and willingness to bend over backward to make her client's experiences as seamless and wonderful as possible makes what can be a stressful time and far easier one. Amber is worth double her weight in gold! I wish she could practice in every state!

I cannot speak highly enough of Michelle! She...

I cannot speak highly enough of Michelle! She made the entire process of buying our first place in Chicago as stress free and easy as possible. She was so helpful every step of the way- I honestly don't know what we would have done without her. She had answers to all of our questions, was so knowledgeable about different areas of the city, found the perfect spot for our family, and was so reliable the entire time. Words can it describe how grateful we were to...

Words can it describe how grateful we were to have Amber in our team as we purchased our first home. She was patient, extremely knowledgeable, and most of all trustworthy. She made herself available for any questions and made sure we were happy with our experience. At the end of our journey, we bought a house in a city we wanted to live in, happy about our purchase, had an enjoyable buying process and overall had a great experience. We can’t thank Amber enough for being such so helpful and enjoyable.
