•I selected James off of Zillow to help me buy a house based on his knowledge and experience in the area. He was exactly what I needed to help me buy an older home in the City of Winchester. He went into every creepy, cobbwebby basement and attic looking for things that I would never have noticed. I was looking at crown-molding and built ins and he was checking the electrical, foundation, checking for asbestos and cracked pipes (which gave my family peace of mind as I have zero knowledge of those things and I'm doing this on my own). I gave him a long list of demands and about 20 houses I wanted to see Day 1. When I picked a house that practically needed a gut job, he had a contractor out that same week to give me an estimate on what I wanted to make sure it was in my budget. He did an excellent job of reminding me what I wanted and pointing out what would have been too much to take on. He has an extensive rolodex of local people and were always cheaper and faster than the ones I found. I had started the loan process on Lending Tree and when James noticed that I was getting bad information (amount allowed for FHA in Winchester) he immediately contacted his guy who sat down with me and helped me out with no expectations other than to help me. When we finally found the right house for me, he took care of everything and held my hand until I had the key. Then he continued to take care of all the issues the previous owners stuck me with and watched the house for me until I could move in since I was moving from an hour away in Ashburn. Oh, and I had a separate agent selling my condo in Ashburn. And as that deal started to fall apart at the last minute, James was on the phone and email helping solve that problem too. But most importantly, he made it fun and helped keep the stress to a manageable level.
