•Having just gone through the stressful task of buying a home, I wanted to share our wonderful experience working with Linda Friedman as our realtor in the hopes it may help other prospective buyers. As first time home buyers who were moving from San Francisco, my husband and I were prepared for the journey of buying our home to take quite some time given the crazy real estate market we are in.Somehow Linda was able to make the process less intimidating, far more enjoyable than anticipated and even more affordable than we expected as well. We ended up falling in love with one of the first homes Linda showed us. She encouraged us to see the home we purchased even though we initially told her we did not want to see it because it was at the top of our price range. She encouraged us to have an open mind and let us know there would likely be room to negotiate on the sellers' part and she ended up being right. We had selected Linda as our realtor knowing how incredibly knowledgable she is of the Lamorinda area. There were even some homes she showed us where she had been the realtor for the previous buyers or sellers in years past! Because she was trained as a lawyer she was very thorough in reviewing all the paperwork and ensuring that we looked through the contingencies on the home in close detail. She also arranged for all of our inspectors to come do their own inspections of the house, which was a source of great relief for us. We probably weren't the easiest clients. We were stressed out about the process and had hundreds of questions. Linda was there every step of the way to answer our questions and offer advice even when we happened to be calling her at 9pm at night. We're now in a house that already feels like a home to us and are so appreciative of the guidance Linda provided us. We would highly recommend Linda to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, responsive realtor in the East Bay.
