Before beginning her real estate career, Carling worked in finance for Morgan Stanley in the heart of Boston. She quickly realized she was meant to live mountains and moved to the Vail Valley in the fall of 2009, where she joined the Slifer Smith & Frampton marketing department. After five years of valuable experience in corporate marketing, she obtained her real estate license and has thrived in the real estate world ever since. Originally from Noth Conway, NH, a charming New England ski town, Carling was an elite ski racer in her early years. She attended the prestigious Holderness School and later earned a BA in Political Science and Economics from St. Lawrence University. Today, she lives in Singletree with her husband, Dane, their daughter Delaney (4), and son William (1.5). In her free time, she enjoys skiing, hiking, floating the Colorado River, on-mountain picnics, live music, and Colorado Blue Bird Days.

Born and raised in Minnesota, Jay moved to the Vail Valley in 2008 after falling in love with skiing in the Colorado mountains during childhood ski trips. Originally intending to be in the Valley only one ski season, he quickly realized his love for the outdoor adventures that the area has to offer and decided to make it his permanent home. Jay takes advantage of the mountain lifestyle by skiing, biking, camping, hiking, and golfing with his family, friends, and the many visitors coming to the area. After graduating college, Jay worked in the hospitality industry but wanted to apply his customer service background to real estate in the Vail Valley. By demonstrating his ability to bring top tier service and effective communication to Slifer Smith & Frampton Real Estate, he has made his mark quickly in the business. Jay continues to stay up to date with the best ways to market his client's homes, which is trending towards digital marketing and prospecting. Jay is truly grateful to live in one of the most beautiful places in the world and for the ability to share that love with many guests and visitors from around the world.
