•Working with Irene was such a pleasure. Looking for a home and/or property to buy is no easy task, however Irene makes the experience so much easier. We've been working with Irene for better than a year now and she was right ...."the right place will come".... and it did. Her patience, kindness, availability, are the icing on the cake. Her knowledge of the industry she is in is really what got us to where we are now....happy owners of a lovely condo in Mashpee. Her level of commitment to her clients is unparalleled . Her knowledge of Cape Cod, where to go and what to do, is amazing. Her upbeat personality....so necessary....especially after looking at your 20th property! I would recommend Ms. O'Connell very highly to anyone pursuing a home on the Cape.
Those are the adjectives that come to mind when I think about Irene O'Connell. My wife and I have visited Cape Cod and the Islands from out of state, for nearly 4 decades. In the past 10 years, we've rented in the summer. Three years ago, we decided that it was time to look for a place of our own. We had met Irene earlier and always knew that she would be the one to ask for help. Our search with Irene has exceeded all expectations. She takes the time needed to understand what you're looking for and what you can afford. She suggests many properties in which you may not realize you could be interested. Importantly, she tells you when that cute cottage that you think is a steal really isn't. Irene takes you around, making efficient but not rushed use of your time, and she makes it fun. Sooner or later (it took us several years) you get serious and things may come up, like: -How much should I offer (we made our successful offer in Sep. 2021 in a very hot market). Irene did not let us overpay. -I need insurance, or a lawyer or a mortgage broker. Ask Irene, she only works with reputable people. -Have I missed something in all the pre-offer paperwork? Irene won't let you. -How do I find a good local inspector, painter, carpenter, plumber, or electrician? Irene's got an updated list. -I live too far way to be at the inspection, walkthroughs, closing. Is the house still standing? Don't worry, Irene will stand in for you, really. How does Irene do it all? Well, it's just the way she is. Certainly, Irene's got a great personality and incredible work ethic. Did you know that she’s has been a successful real estate agent and broker, in several major US markets, since 1996? Experience counts. Now, we're lucky that she's back home. If you're looking for a property on the Cape, even or especially if you live nowhere near there, you can do no better than trusting your search and purchase to Irene O'Connell -- unreservedly.
