There is no zoning in Townshend. The access up into the land is on Ellen Ware, closer to the Brookline town line. There are trails going uphill to a clearing/campsite that overlooks the River. While most of the land is on the opposite side of the road from the West River, there is a small sliver of land on the River side. This small but mighty sliver means you have 1000 ft of direct access to the water. Currently not in the VT Use Value Program but if you were to enroll, you would enjoy a significant reduction on your taxes.
