•My fiancee and I had the pleasure of working with Cathy to buy our first home. After attending numerous open houses and speaking with a wide variety of agents, Cathy provided us with a much clearer approach to purchasing a home. Her helpfulness was second to none, her response time was impeccable, and above all else she made herself available to us any time we needed her. I consider myself a fairly smart guy, but buying a home for the first time is a daunting task. You can read all the books and online articles about buying a home, think you have everything figured out, and before you know it after one meeting, feel like you know nothing about the process. When it came time actually put an offer in on our home, things became complicated due to other offers, and escalation clauses. We didn't know how to handle these things but Cathy walked us through the process and in my mind, with her guided help, she helped us save a significant amount of money throughout the negotiations. My fiancee and I purchased a 100-year old farm house so there were some things like the water system and roof (slate) which are uncommon compared to modern homes. Cathy personally met with me during my home inspection, and even brought a colleague to ensure any questions that I had would be answered right there on the spot. Once finished with our inspection, we compiled an outlandish laundry list of things to be fixed. Cathy, of course blew away my expectations and got everything on the list fixed. Like the rest of the process, the closing date was smooth with no hiccups. I have in the past and will continue to recommend Cathy to anyone who is looking into buying a home. Throughout the process, Cathy became a friend as it was clear she fought for us at every turn and had our best interest at heart. She made our experience as easy as it could be, and she is an outstanding real estate agent.
