•Bought a house from Classic American Homes from whom Caren referred me to after dealing with another builder. No problem with the house initially other than it did not come with the appliances that I had planned for (just the fridge was not part of the deal, I was under the impression that it was). After figuring out that I would have to pay out of pocket for the fridge, Caren agreed to pay $1500 of her $12,000. commission (I have this in a text message) because as she stated, “I just want my customers to be happy, and I always take care if them”. It was a point of contention between myself and the builder sinceI remember the conversation, but I let it go as a misunderstanding. There was no misunderstanding with Caren. She plainly stated to me on the phone while shopping at Lowes for appliances, that the $1500. from her and the $500. from the builder would help offset the out of pocket expense I was incurring. She additionally stated that buying appliances from the builder was a bad idea since they primarily sell junk. When I asked her about this in the group chat with the builder rep, Caren was completely silent with her responses, nothing to say. It is pathetic that she claims to take care of her clients, especially considering I did most of the problem solving with the previous builder; she is just not that confrontational. She comes across as nice and wanting to help. But once she has you under her representation, you will learn very quickly that her 4% commission is not earned; not even close to half of that. Caren did teach me a lot about what not to do with future real estate agents going forward. The next house I buy, everything will be in writing and nothing they say I will take them at their word for it. She is absolutely shameless, and I highly recommend anyone considering her to find someone else.Emailed for COS - Reg 4/23/2026
