Yes, I am biased, but I can honestly say that this home will be the one that my wife and I will always remember, and miss terribly. We've lived here for 10 years and both the home and neighborhood are truly incomparable. Situated on a corner lot between two dead end streets, "quietude" is a way of life. We know our neighbors, and know even more dogs, walkers and runners who pass by because of our low traffic area. We enjoy the front porch for playing cards and sipping wine in the early evening, the rear screened porch for afternoon naps, the paver patio and pergola for get-togethers with family and friends. The proximity to Sarasota Bay, Sun Circle Park and Indian Beach Park, for sunsets that never fail to amaze, is incredible. In addition to nearby shopping and restaurants, we're also just about a mile to The Ringling Museum, The Ringling College of Art, USF, New College and the Asolo Theatre and Sarasota Ballet. We love our outside shower and haven't showered inside for a decade! When we bought the house in 2011, we immediately began making it our own. We added a master suite and bath, fully replaced the kitchen, installed impact windows throughout, replaced all floors, re-shingled, re-wired and re-plumbed - including the sewer line to the street, installed all appliances, AC and water heater at the same time. Except for a bathtub, everything else was pretty much replaced. In fact, our insurance company re-aged our 1948 "cottage" as 2011 for insurance purposes. We're under 10 minutes to downtown Sarasota and SRQ airport and yet it feels like we live in a small town or country oasis with narrow streets under the canopy of lush trees. Again, I am biased and could go on and on about all that we love about this home and neighborhood... so call your agent and come see for yourself. Why are we moving if we love it so much?
