The Fish House - also known as Seven Elms - is the only Mission Revival-style residence in the Potter Highlands Historic District and is regularly featured in the Historic Denver Guidebooks. Built in 1908 for Jesse and Mary Carey, the Careys held a housewarming party in November 1908 that was celebrated in the Denver Post: "The bungalow has been much admired by Denver people who have driven out to North Denver to see it.
