After graduating from St. Joseph High School, James joined the United States Marine Corps as an Engineer, where he further strengthened his leadership skills and commitment to service. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University and later completed his Master’s degree at Valparaiso University.
James began his career in the corporate sector, gaining more than 18 years of hands-on experience in high-performance environments where he held managerial roles leading teams and complex projects, including 10+ years with Whirlpool Corporation. While there, he helped establish the Whirlpool Veterans Association, an employee resource group committed to veteran support, retention, and giving back to the broader veteran community.
