Chris was fantastic in helping my sister and I sell our father's house he owned for 33 years. He was extremely professional and attuned to our needs at all times. Chris was always available and took charge in organizing what needed to be done before putting house on the market. I highly recommend Chris for all your real estate needs.

don't recommend sales folks often but given the experience, and challenges we all face in this market, I feel compelled to recommend the agent we used to find and close on our new home. Summary: 80+ houses viewed in 6 months and we won on our first bid despite being 3rd amongst 10 offers (and no I wasn't an all cash kind of guy). I didn't need someone to help find me a place. Just needed someone to keep me from making a mistake and to make it happen when it was time. Chris exceeded my expectations in both areas. He is very technical, saved me from emotionally bidding on 3 properties that would've ended up as money pits, determined the best overall strategy/offer to secure the home, held my hand through the entire close process, and continues to offer up recommendations for various needs. Most of his listings/clients are high end but that didn't stop him from treating a common guy like me w/the same care he would someone bringing a multiple times higher commission check. Feel free to PM me if you want additional info on my experience w/Chris being my agent or in general. (note: he only works the peninsula as to not deviate from his area of expertise)

My client was the trustee of her friend's trust...

My client was the trustee of her friend's trust. When her friend passed away, my client had to sell the trust's primary asset, a house in Woodside. My client, who is in her 70s, never owned a home and had no experience in selling real estate, so it was important for her to have a realtor who was trustworthy, responsive to her questions, able to communicate with her in plain English, and who was trustworthy. Chris exemplified all of the foregoing qualities. He walked my client through the details of the process, and communicated directly with me about those matters that my client entrusted to me, her attorney. Chris arranged for the necessary inspections and for certain cosmetic work to make the house presentable for sale. He knew the sales picture in the area, kept abreast of local market trends, and provided updates on showings of the house. The market for realty in this area of Woodside and this house's price range had softened somewhat by the time the house was put on the market, Chris did not recommend that my client accept the first offer she received. Rather, because the first offer was less than ideal, Chris recommended that she counter-offer, assuring her that another offer would come in if the counter-offer was not accepted. Sure enough, the counter-offer was not accepted, but another couple made an offer that was substantially better than the first, and well within the price my client had hoped to get. If you are a client who wants a realtor who is responsive, knowledgeable, willing to explain matters to you in plain English, and trustworthy, you should give Chris Iverson a call.
